Riddoch’s phenomenon

the ability of patients with injury to the visual system beyond the optic chiasm to see moving, but not stationary, light stimuli (statokinetic dissociation). Riddoch’s phenomenon can also be associated with damage to the optic nerve. See also cerebral amblyopia. [first described in 1917 by George Riddoch (1888–1947), British neurologist]
