attributional biases

 in attributiontheory, common faults in attributing causes to behaviour such that mistakes are made andthe causes of behaviour are misunderstood. An example is self-servingbias in which we attribute our own good and worthy behaviours to personality factors(I gave my mum a bunch of flowers because I am kind) and any bad or unworthy behaviours tosituational factors (I shouted at mum because I've got a headache).
